Nacim YOUNESS is a Lebanese engineer and photographer based in LEBANON. Born in Saida in March 1982 and followed the academic courses in the Lebanese schools until obtaining a diploma in engineering from the Lebanese university (industrial engineering and maintenance) which was followed by an engineering master’s degree in engineering from Ecole Polytechnique Universitaire de Lille in northern FRANCE in 2006 (electrical engineering and power electronics). Back to Lebanon in 2007, he started a career as engineer in the Gulf countries (KSA, UAE and Qatar). After becoming a freelancer as engineering specialist in the electrical distribution network studies and plant design in 2020; he decided to dedicate more time to develop his skills in the domain which he always loved and practiced during his short holidays: the photography.
His photography work is focused on the nature and wildlife, by capturing the beauty of the nature and the emotions of the animals (the face expressions, the look, the mimics). He hopes to increase the awareness about the environment and the animal welfare through his photography work. The tiniest wild rose in nature is captivatingly beautiful and the animals have feelings that we can see through the pictures.
In addition to exhibiting his photography work on social media (Snapshot, and Facebook) and on his personal website, he decided to participate in the art exhibitions to reach more specific audience and to support the NGOs defending the animal cause by donating the revenues from the photography selling to these NGOs.
