Sawsan Bawab is a Syrian painter born in Damascus on the 9th of May, 1964, where she learned drawing at “Momtaz Bahra” Center for Fine Arts, then participated in many exhibitions at cultural centers in Damascus, Latakia, and exhibition in Beirut as well as a symposium of drawing in Lebanon.
The Syrian painter recently held her solo exhibition entitled “Colorful Dreams in the Culture of Adawi” in Damascus and distributed several certificates of appreciation to the participants.
Sawsan spent years abroad working in the field of fashion design and drawing on silk, where she established an atelier for design and tailoring in “Al Ain” city, Emirates, until she decided to return to Damascus work on developing her talent in drawing, until she managed to paint in different techniques, including charcoal, pencil, wood and oil.
The Syrian artist states that “drawing means to her, challenging circumstances with feather and color and that there is a soul manifested in each artwork she pictured with love, gratitude, and happiness”.
