The Unjust And The Oppressed Man

“The Unjust And The Oppressed Man” is an impressionist 140 cm*100 cm painting done by the Syrian young artist Mohammad Ramadan. This piece of Art comes in a negative state, expressing the duality of the situation it illustrates. However, the artist shows a photograph of his painting taken in negative photographing, to demonstrate the contrast of its meaning once appeared in colors.

Syrian Impressionist painter “Mohammad Ramadan” presents a painting in a negative effect entitled “The Unjust And The Oppressed Man” featuring a couple of a man sitting and looking up to the viewer and a woman sleeping naked with her behind pointed upward. At first sight, the couple seem like two elders due to the negative effect of the painting, their hair appears white, and the man’s eyes are sad. However, once taken through a negative photographing process, it appears, on the opposite, that the man is expressing feeling of pride after conquering his partner’s body, whom judging by her position demonstrates fear and shame.
